Clinical Trainer

For the past 15 years, Dr. Allen has provided continuing professional education for social workers, counselors, psychologists, and psychiatrists working in the areas of child welfare (child protective services, foster care, and adoptions) mental health (inpatient, outpatient, private practice), and schools (counseling staff).

She has delivered workshops in 1- to 3-day formats to professionals in Texas and California in the following topic areas:

• Predicting Youth Violence (use of FBI Indicators)
• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in Women and Children
• Borderline, Antisocial, and Narcissistic Personality Disorders
• Understanding and Responding to Brain-Based Behavior
• Therapeutic Parenting for Foster and Adoptive Children
