Dr. Kate Allen, LCSW, has been a clinical social worker, professor of social work, psychotherapist, trainer, and expert witness since 1973. Licensed in Texas and California, she has testified in and worked on dozens of cases in 6 states, including murder trials, both capital and non-capital, as well as "failure-to-protect" civil cases.

Currently her practice consists of providing consultation and testimony at trial, delivering training to mental health and child welfare professionals, and consultations in risk assessment to a variety of professionals.
